The name of the distillery originates from the old buffalo trail that crossed the property before the distillery was built on the Kentucky River.
Buffalo Trace is made from corn, rye and barley. The whiskey matures for around eight years before it makes its long journey to us in Europe.

    Kommentar: Für diesen Preis ist der Buffalo Trace ein würdiger "Nachfolger" für seinen Schraubverschluss-Kumpanen Old Charter 8 (Welcher übrigens zu den besten Bourbons zählt, die ich je getrunken habe).

    Unfassbar mild, sehr süffig, kann man glatt jeden Abend auf der Terrasse von ein Gläschen genießen. Sicherlich nicht sehr komplex, das muss gesagt sein, aber einfach ein smoothes Erlebnis. Ich bilde mir ein, dass der Abgang etwas Kaffeelastig ist, gefällt mir schon sehr gut.
