Connemara Original is one of the very few smoky Irish Single Malt Whiskeys. No other Irish whiskey combines strong peat smoke with sweet fruit and vanilla as harmoniously as Connemara. Blindfolded, you would feel transported to the neighbouring Scottish islands.

Aroma: Rauchig, süßlich, leichte Kräuter

Geschmack: Rauchig, süßlich, mild, sehr leichte Vanille

Abgang: Rauchig

Kommentar: Top PLV, toll. Einer meiner Lieblingswhiskeys.

Aroma: sanfter, kalter Rauch mit sehr deutlichem Heidekraut. Unter allem liegt eine gesetzte Fruchtnote wie von Aprikosen.

Geschmack: sanft und süß mit Früchten, Malz und unerwartet deutlichem Rauch. Wird dann trocken, Eiche und Rauch bleiben. Wirkt etwas mineralisch.

Abgang: überraschend lang und wärmend. Hinterlässt etwas Rauchigkeit.

Kommentar: ein recht leichter, sanft rauchiger Whisky für Tage, an denen einem ein Edradour oder Laphroaig zu laut ist.
