Arôme A light sultana note, only slightly vinous, with an aromatic and deep note of herbs and flavours reminiscent of antique books.
Bouche Very velvety, yet full-bodied. The balance between the sweetness of honey and plums, the oak and the minerality is excellent.
Finale Medium length with a tannic top note and peppery accents.

Distilled in 2012, this Glen Elgin Single Malt from Speyside is considered one of the best-balanced whiskies ever bottled in the Barrel Selection, with all components harmonising perfectly with each other. It has matured for the last 30 months in first-fill Pedro Ximénez casks, which give it just the right fruity depth without the whisky losing its original character - it tastes primarily of whisky, not sherry. The overall impression is rich and deep, yet always smooth, fresh and very harmonious. This whisky was bottled by Wilson & Morgan, an independent bottler from Italy that has been operating since 1992 and is internationally recognised for its carefully selected casks. Wilson & Morgan focuses primarily on Scottish Single Malts, supplemented by selected Single Grains and occasionally international whiskies, and is characterised in particular by precisely applied finishes in high-quality sherry and wine casks, which lend depth and complexity without masking the characteristic style of the respective distillery.

    Aroma: Eine leichte Rosinennote, nur leicht weinig, mit einer aromatischen und tiefen Note von Kräutern und Aromen, die an antike Bücher erinnern.

    Geschmack: Sehr samtig, dennoch vollmundig. Die Balance zwischen der Süße von Honig und Pflaumen, der Eiche und der Mineralität ist ausgezeichnet.

    Abgang: Mittellang mit tanninhaltiger Kopfnote und pfeffrigen Akzenten.
