GlenWyvis Highland Legacy Series 2: Baineach

With the GlenWyvis Baineach, the independent Highland distillery presents the second release in its Highland Legacy Series. This Highland Single Malt Whisky is matured 73 per cent in first-fill Ruby Port barriques and 27 per cent in refill Oloroso sherry hogsheads. Bottled at 46.5% vol., it combines fruity port aromas with the elegant spiciness and depth of Oloroso sherry casks. The GlenWyvis Distillery in the Scottish Highlands is known as a community-funded distillery and combines traditional whisky-making with a sustainable approach. The Highland Legacy Series is dedicated to the people and stories that have shaped the cultural heritage of the Highlands.

The name ‘Baineach’ pays homage to the women of the Scottish Highlands, whose craftsmanship in spinning, weaving and working with wool has helped shape Scotland’s cultural heritage across generations. In keeping with this, the bottle is presented in the distinctive GlenWyvis tartan and impresses with a full-bodied interplay of red fruits, sherry sweetness and subtle spicy notes.
