Peated and unpeated distillates were married together for the 14-year-old Glenturret Peat Smoke Single Malt. Characterised by first-fill European oak and rounded off with second-fill casks, the smoke remains pleasantly soft and somewhat more in the background. Citrus notes and an impression of lemon sponge cake dominate before the peat smoke gradually joins in. This makes the Peat Smoke an accessible dram for anyone who likes a subtly smoky flavour. Glenturret is the oldest working whisky distillery in Scotland and is characterised by its craftsmanship and commitment to traditional whisky production. Wooden washbacks, a historic malt mill and just two copper stills are used to produce the first-class Single Malts. The elegant decanters were designed by Glenturret's new part-owner, the French luxury goods company Lalique. The Lalique decanters give the whisky a venerable form that is an excellent match for the classic and high-quality Single Malts from the Highland distillery.

Glenturret is one of the oldest still producing distillery there is in Scotland. Its history traces back to some smugglers in 1775. Sometimes it is called the Disney of Whisky, as the visitor centre is so nice and well made.

Geschmack: Vollmundig und ausgewogen, subtiler Rauch umhüllt süße Fruchtnoten, Toffee und malzige Wärme. Würzige Nuancen und sanfte Vanille verbinden sich mit einer klaren, leicht nussigen Textur.
