This 15-year-old Old Pulteney has been part of the distillery's standard range since 2019. It was first matured in second-fill American white oak casks and then received a post-maturation in fresh Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.

La distillerie: Pulteney

For a long time Pulteney could be called the most northern distillery on the Scottish mainland. When Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso opened in 2013 they took over this title, but Pulteney hasn’t lost its attraction on Whisky lovers. The coastal style of the Old Pulteney Whisky (as the Whiskies from Pulteney are called) is a very unique one and the releases use to be very well judged by the Whisky experts. en savoir plus

Kommentar: Im Abgang würde "Zwetschkenkerne" den Geschmack besser als "Mandeln" beschreiben.
Es gibt einiges zu Entdecken!

Aroma: Heidkräuter, Rosmarin, bisschen zitusartig ,Birne,

Geschmack: zuerst recht stark, selbst mit Verdünnung, Früchte, grüner Apfel, sogar Melone, bisschen Zitrus, vielleicht Limette?

Abgang: finde ich kurz aber angenehm, hinterlässt ein bisschen Trockenheit und den Wunsch nach mehr

Kommentar: wirklich gut, es lohnt sich mit vorsichtig mit Verdünnung zu experimentieren, das verträgt er mit 46% sehr gut, hatte schon viele andere die sich nicht so gut verdünnen liessen
