Plantation Stiggin's Fancy Pineapple Smoky Formula is a rum spirit based on molasses rum. To make it, pineapple peels are placed in Plantation 3 Stars white rum and left to rest, then distilled in copper Pot Stills. The distillate and infusion are finally blended together and then matured for 4 to 6 months in a whiskey barrel from the Teeling distillery, which was previously covered with peated whiskey. The Irish distillery and Ferrand have a very good relationship with each other and so some Teeling whiskey has been matured in former rum barrels and some Plantation rum in former whiskey barrels.
