The Smokehead Rum Cask Rebel XLE is a strictly limited edition of the popular Rum Cask Rebels, which was bottled exclusively for the German market. With its powerful 58% Batch Strength, the Islay Single Malt clearly gains in intensity. Due to the maturation in Caribbean rum casks, aromas of strong smoke combine with the sweet-fruity flavours from the rum casks to create an intense taste experience.

    Im Angebot für Mitte 30€ gekauft und dafür eine absolute Bombe. Rauchig und aschig, schöne Süße, eine Menge Früchte und ein schöner runder Abgang mit etwas Salz und Karamell.

    Kommentar: deftig teeriger jugendlicher Islay Raucher (ein junger Ardbeg?), der die Erwartungen erfüllen kann. Der Einfluss vom Rum Fass ist eher nicht zu stark ausgeprägt, aber man kann süße tropische Noten erahnen. Sollte mit einer ordentlichen Portion Wasser genossen werden. Für den derzeitigen Preis definitiv ein guter Griff.
