For the 135° East Hyogo Dry Gin, Master Distiller & Blender Kimio Yonezawa decided to combine three traditional botanicals from Europe with five unique Japanese botanicals. Japan's Taisho period, in which Eastern culture merged with Western culture, served as inspiration for this Gin. It takes its name from the 135° eastern meridian that crosses the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture. The botanicals used include: Angelica root, coriander, juniper, sencha, yuzu, shiso, ume plum and sancho pepper. Finally, the gin was refined with a shot of sake from the Akashi distillery.
