Variatie Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, followed by sweet sherry, sultanas, toffee and some cinnamon. Light oak notes, vanilla and a hint of orange peel are recognisable.
Proef Full-bodied and strong, with a clear sherry cask influence. Dark fruit, chocolate, a little honey and spices such as nutmeg and clove. There are also oak and nutty notes as well as slightly dry tannins and a hint of pepper.
Uitgang Medium to long, with structured spice from dry oak, plus a hint of dark chocolate and lingering fruit sweetness.

The Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 11 is a Single Malt from the Scottish Speyside that is bottled without an age statement. "Casg Annamh" means "rare cask" in Gaelic, which refers to the special selection of casks. The bottling is part of an ongoing series that has been released regularly in numbered batches since 2018. The focus is on the influence of sherry casks. For the 11th batch (as with its predecessors), mainly European oak casks were used, in which sherry was previously stored, supplemented by a smaller amount of American oak casks - both new and ex-Bourbon. The whisky is a strong, fruity Aberlour with a deep, dark colour that comes exclusively from the cask maturation. Compared to previous batches, Batch 11 is somewhat more balanced and less sweet than some of the previous bottlings. The flavours range from dark fruits and spices to vanilla and oak to a hint of sherry and accents of chocolate.
