This Auchentoshan, aged for almost a quarter of a century, was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. Andrew Symington founded his company at the end of the 1980s and has always maintained a good relationship with the distilleries. Today, he can call a stock of over 10,000 casks his own, from which he and his team constantly select rarities with the greatest care or add exquisite new casks from distilleries throughout Scotland. This bottling is part of Signatory's Syminton's Choice, in which exclusive whiskies from single cask maturation or with luxurious finishes are bottled directly at cask strength. They are particularly recommended for advanced connoisseurs, collectors and Single Malt explorers. The 24-year-old Lowlands whisky matured entirely in an Oloroso sherry butt.
