Flor de Caña Rum 14 Jaar

Flor de Caña Rum comes from Nicaragua and is the only rum brand in the world that is authorised to call itself 'slow aged'. With this certification, the US government authority ensures that the maturation process is natural and not accelerated in oak barrels. The rum is produced directly at the San Antonio sugar factory at the foot of an active volcano, which belongs to the "Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua" founded in 1890. This Flor de Caña rum from carbon-neutral production matured for 14 years in selected oak barrels and was bottled at 43% vol. without the addition of artificial flavourings or colourings. The rum is balanced and full-bodied with notes of vanilla and oak, which blend with subtle fruit flavours and spice. Flor de Cana has also recently been awarded the Fair Trade symbol, as the distillery's rums fulfil the strict requirements of ISO.
