This bottling spent its entire maturation period in ex-port wine casks. The rum from Gold of Mauritius is produced in the north of the island using local molasses. This is distilled on Colums stills and then stored in South African barrels. The good climatic conditions and the choice of barrels ensure a great variety of flavours even after a short maturing period.
