This Port Dundas Single Grain was released by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage in the Single Grain Collection. The two second fill Oloroso sherry butts, which were filled in 2008, were individually selected by Signatory and bottled at a slightly higher strength after 16 years of ageing without colouring or chill-filtering.

Kommentar: In der Nase dunkle Trockenfrüchte, Rosinen und ein Hauch von altem Leder, begleitet von süßem Sherryholz. Am Gaumen samtig mit würziger Eiche, Datteln und etwas Bitterschokolade, der Abgang trocken-wärmend mit einem nostalgischen Hauch vergangener Destilleriekunst.
Spannend, einen Whisky aus der stillgelegten Port Dundas zu probieren – ein rares Stück Geschichte im Glas.
