The Starward Tawny Cask is the latest example from the 'Project Series' of the Australian whisky producer Starward. In this series, the distillery experiments with cask finishes to give their whiskies new dimensions of taste. This Single Malt was matured for at least 3 years in red wine barrels and finished in tawny barrels. Bottled exclusively for the European market and not to be confused with the Starward Tawny.

The Australian Starward distillery, based in Melbourne, has been producing Whisky since 2015. The founder, David Vitale, has Italian ancestors, but was raised in Melbourne. He cares a lot about his roots, which is why Starward Whisky matures exclusively in red wine casks.

Abgang: Relativ kurz bis mittellang. Nachhall wie bei einem süßen Rum
Kommentar: Von den hochprozentigen Starwards bis jetzt der schwächste. Aroma verschlossen, Antritt typisch Starward aber die Tiefe fehlt und der Abgang ist zu kurz
