The Straight Rye matured for around six years in burnt fresh white oak barrels and is part of the Antique Collection, which was released by Buffalo Trace in 2000. Coveted bourbon bottlings from the distillery are released annually in limited quantities in this collection. Thomas H. Handy Sazerac is named after the bartender and inventor of the Sazerac cocktail with rye whisky from New Orleans.
