Aroma: sehr schöne Nase, Sherry, etwas verbranntes Holz, Trockenfrüchte und Kirschen, viel Malzsüße.

Geschmack: Sherry, viel Eiche, milde Chillies, schwarzer Kaffee, Nüsse mit Rosinen, ziemlich karamellig süß wirkt er. Alles in allem ziemlich komplex und recht vollmundig.

Abgang: schon relativ lang, die 15 Jahre Lagerung merkt man, wieder das verbrannte Holz, dunkle Schokolade und diverse Nüsse.

Kommentar: Ohne Berücksichtigung des aktuell stark reduzierten Preises 3,5 Sterne.
Unter dem Preis-Leistungskriterium 4,0 Sterne, zusammen mit dem Dailuaine 16 und dem Blair Athol 12 die klaren Highlights aus der inoffiziellen Flora & Fauna Reihe von Diageo.
