Product description
Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye combines the flavours of a typical rye whisky with the well-known smoothness of Crown Royal. The rye content in the mash is a proud 90%.
The Blend was named Whisky of the Year by Jim Murray in 2016. Crown Royal was the first Canadian whisky to achieve this ranking in the Whisky Bible. In Germany, the bottling has been difficult to obtain so far.

When Icelandic immigrants settled at Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba in the 19th century, they were glad to have escaped from the volcanoes of their homeland. They called their settlement 'Gimli', which means 'safe haven from hellfire' in Icelandic. They surely would have never dreamt that a giant Whisky distillery would someday bear this name. read more

Muss man mal probiert haben. Ganz anders als ein Scotch und sogar als ein American Rye. Zum Pur trinken absolut hochwertig genug!

Kommentar: Ein Roggenwhisky, wie man ihn sich vorstellt. Ohne Schnickschnack, würzig, etwas herb, aber dennoch mild und süffig. Dass er mal DER Whisky des Jahres war, kann ich persönlich mir zwar nicht erklären, aber wer einen klassischen kanadischen Roggenwhisky sucht, macht hier nichts verkehrt. 40€ für einen Liter sind definitiv ok
