With the Gin Mare Capri, the Spanish producer Vantguard is expanding its range with another homage to the Mediterranean on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Gin Mare. The lemons from the Italian island of Capri, which are macerated for 12 months in aluminium tanks, are decisive for the name of the gin. Here, too, the botanical components are individually distilled in copper pot stills, blended and then distilled again together.

Geschmack: sehr intensiv wie frisch angeschnittene Zitrone / Zitronenschale, Wacholder & mediterrane Kräuter runden das Geschmackserlebnis ab
Abgang: angenehm frisch, Zitronen, Zitronen, Zitronen
Kommentar: tolle Ergänzung zum Gin Mare, hier stehen nicht die Kräuter im Vordergrund, sondern die Zitrusfrüchte, Sommerfeeling in der Flasche!

Kommentar: es ist tatsächlich nicht untertrieben, dass hier die Zitronen im Fokus stehen. Dieses irgendwie süßliche Bergamotte Aroma muss man mögen, daher trifft es meinen Geschmack nicht ganz. Offen gestanden ist der original Gin Mare eigentlich auch schon so gut, dass man das kaum toppen kann. Den Capri kann man daher probieren, muss man aber nicht.
