Product description
This Glenrothes belongs to the Soleo Collection, which has replaced the Vintage and Reserve bottlings of Glenrothes since 2018. The striking colours of the packaging reflect the art of maturation and the stages of colour development of a sherry grape during drying (Soleo process).
The 18-year-old standard bottling was created with a high proportion of first fill sherry casks, the character is complex and rounded.

The Glenrothes Distillery is located in Rothes in the heart of the Speyside. It looks back on a very turbulent history. The day the first spirit was distilled at Glenrothes was 28 December 1879 and this might have been seen a bit as a bad omen: It was the day the Tay Bridge at Dundee collapsed. Several times The Glenrothes was hit by fire and it burnt down at last, but as a phoenix it rose again and today it’s back on the stage and playing a big role in the Whisky game. read more

Abgang: Fruit Vanilla Sherry Lang und sehr aromatisch, überall Sherry und Waldbeeren.

Kommentar: Wunderbarer entspannt milder Whisky für Sherryfans (dunkle Beeren). Etwas für den Freitagabend und kann sicher mit anderen 21-jährigen und teureren PX-Tropfen mithalten. Einer der besten 18-jährigen für den alten Preis, leider immer teurer.
