Taste:
Aroma: Pine smoke, light peat smoke and tropical fruits, pork crust, rosemary, cedar, sandalwood and Lapsang Souchong tea evolving into rose petals, dates, lemon zest and caramel with hints of nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Add summer meadow flowers, cut grass, malt extract and burnt heather.
Taste: Velvety mouthfeel with sweet, malty peat smoke, barley water, pea blossom, clover honey, crème brulée with burnt caramel, fennel seed, lemon sponge and dried hay, with lingering oak.
Finish: Slightly sweet smoke and subtle hints of salt with maritime facets.

Product description
Macaloney's Caledonian Distillery was launched by three whisky-savvy Scots in Canada. Besides founder and fermentation expert Dr Graeme Macaloney, ex-Diageo Master Distiller Mike Nicolson and whisky expert Dr Jim Swan, who died in 2017, were also involved in the conception. Siol Dugall is made from the best malted barley, which is kilned over peat smoke on the distillery premises and double distilled on Pot Stills. The distillate is then matured in Kentucky Bourbon casks, fresh American oak barrels and recharred red wine barrels from Portugal before the casks are blended together. This is how the expressive colour of the whisky and a fruity, sweet and spicy Single Malt was created.
