Product description
The aim of the latest Rock Island Sherry Edition was to harmoniously combine two of the most popular styles of Scotch whisky - sherry cask maturation and peat. Single casks from Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay, aged for at least 14 years and predominantly sherry cask matured, were blended to create a complex and maritime bottling.

Aroma:Frische Meeresbrise mit salziger Seeluft und Seetang. Dazu süße tropische Früchte wie Ananas, Madarine oder Kumquats. Über allem liegt eine feine, einfache Rauchnote (maximal 10 bis 12 PPM).

Geschmack: Fruchtig, süß und dezent rauchig: Gegrillte oder gekochte Früchte mit Speckstreifen.

Abgang: Mittel. Maritime und erdige Raucharomen mit Orange- und Zitronenzeste. Am Ende nimmt der Rauch etwas mehr zu.

Kommentar: Blended Malts sind ja so eine Sache: Manche sind einfach Spitzenklasse andere widerum nicht. Dieser hier gehört, zum Glück, zu ersteren. Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Weiter so Douglas Laing's.
