Product description
This 14-year-old Strathmill Single Malt Whisky was bottled at cask strength by independent bottler James Eadie at 52.6% vol. The Strathmill distillery from Speyside is best known for its fruity and elegant malts, which are often used in blended whiskies. As a single cask bottling, this whisky offers the opportunity to get to know the character of the distillery unadulterated. After maturing, the whisky was given a 31-month finish in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt made from European oak. This type of cask gives the distillate additional flavours of dried fruit, sultanas, dark chocolate and spices. At the same time, the typical Strathmill fruitiness with notes of apple, pear and honey is retained. The combination of Speyside style and intensive sherry cask maturation ensures a balanced and multi-layered flavour profile. James Eadie is one of Scotland's renowned independent bottlers and is known for its carefully selected single casks and small batch bottlings that emphasise the individual character of each distillery.
