Glenmorangie The Nectar is the successor to the popular Glenmorangie Nectar d'or, which has a new cask composition as well as an age statement. The new version of the single malt whisky is matured for a total of 16 years and finished in various wine casks, including Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaji from Hungary. The design of the bottle and outer packaging has also been revised and is now based on the style of the Glenmorangie core range.

The stretch of land in the Northern Highland on which Glenmorangie stands has been the site for alcohol production (mostly illicit) since the Middle Ages, setting a formidable legacy. Glenmorangie was founded in 1843, although operation didn’t start until 1849.

Kommentar: Ein weicher und runder Whisky mit fruchtigen Noten, Nüssen und Gewürzen. Man kann auch das Alter, die Eiche gut schmecken.
Nicht schwach im Mund hat genügend Kraft.
Sehr empfehlenswert dieser Whisky.

Nicht schwach im Mund hat genügend Kraft.
Sehr empfehlenswert dieser Whisky.

Aroma: Süße Backwaren, Pfirsich oder Zitrone (einfach ikonisch für Glenmorangie), Butterkaramell, Kekse und weinartige Tannine in der Nase.
Geschmack: Weich, fruchtig und elegant: Würzig, helle Früchte (z. B. Orange) mit Sirup und Vanille.
Abgang: Lang. Süße und Würze halten sich die Waage. Auf dem Punkt frisch würzig und weinartig.
Kommentar: Besser als sein Vorgänger! Wahrlich der Höhepunkt des Kernsortiments! Die Nachreifung in den 4 Weissweinfässern ist unschlagbar gut gelungen. Preis/Leistung mit der Altersangabe mehr als gerechtfertigt!
