Bowmore is a typical Islay whisky. In the island distillery, the smoky malt is still classically spread on its own malt floors and dried in its own kiln over peat fires. As a result, the Bowmore whisky shows a distinct peat smoke note, but at 35ppm, the malts are moderately smoky by Islay standards. Maturation in Oloroso sherry casks gives the whisky a very fruity character. Taste your way through Bowmore's standard range and experience the complex interplay of medium smoke and fruity Oloroso sherry casks. The large bottles are also available as miniatures!

Kommentar: Ich trauere noch immer dem Enigma hinterher. Alle Versuche, einen bezahlbaren Nachfolger im Bowmore-Sortiment zu finden, sind fehlgeschlagen. Der 12j ist ein guter Whisky mit anständigem PLV, aber keiner, an den man sich erinnern wird.

Da der 18jährige leider nicht mehr bezahlbar ist griff ich zum 12er.Für ein Drittel des Preises vom 18er kann man nicht mehr erwarten.
