For this special Connemara Distillers Edition, the smoky malt was post-matured in sherry casks. The alcohol strength of 43% vol is higher than the usual 40% vol for Connemara.

Founded as late as 1987, for many years Cooley was the only independent Irish distillery of its time. Since 2011 the well-known labels such as Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell, Locke's or Connemara have belonged to Beam (now Beam Suntory).

Kommentar: Wer einen Iren mit Rauch möchte kommt um diesen nicht herum. Der normale Connemara hat schon ein ordentlichens Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aberdie Destillerie Edition topt das sofort - klare Kaufempfehlung!

Kommentar: Leicht Rauchik. Lecker und etwas süß. Besser als der Originale. Für mich bis jetzt der Beste aus Irland.
Bin noch Anfänger und kann die Komplexität eines Whiskys noch nicht rausschmecken. Mir schmeckt er einfach.
