Windspiel Navy Strength Premium Dry Gin

Windspiel Premium Dry Gin is the first gin in Germany to be made from potatoes ripened in volcanic soil from the distillery's farm. After the annual harvest in autumn, the raw alcohol for this gin is made with classic botanicals such as juniper, lemon peel, coriander, lavender, cinnamon bark as well as other botanicals according to a secret recipe of the master distiller. The Gin is dedicated to the greyhound breed Windspiel and is bottled in Navy Strength with 57% vol. To ensure that the gunpowder on sailing ships in colonial times remained functional even in the event of mishaps, the alcohol content in the gin was tested by adding a little water and gunpowder. If the mixture could still be ignited, it was called Navy Strength.
