This Single Malt is one of the oldest available from Talisker. 30 long years in American oak casks make this slightly smoky Single Malt a very complex and rare representative of the distillery from the Isle of Skye.

This 45-year-old Single Malt is one of the oldest available from Talisker. Twelve heavily burnt American oak casks were temporarily stored in the ice of Canadian glaciers for 96 hours, causing the surface of the casks to expand in the freezing temperatures. This exceptional finish allowed the former bourbon casks to ideally release their sweet and spicy components to the whisky maturing in them. In 2020, the collaboration with the environmental protection organisation Parley of the Oceans was started in order to put the ambitious goal of protecting and rebuilding 100 million square metres of natural marine space into practice. This rarity is also being brought to market in collaboration with the organisation.

The aroma of the 10-year-old Talisker is smoky and malty-sweet. The Taste is suitably strong, explosive - even spicy. This is followed by a tremendous finish, a real 'afterburner'. Talisker is one of the spiciest malts currently available.

This Talisker from the oldest distillery still in operation on the Isle of Skye was bottled for the Special Releases 2022. Under the theme 'Elusive Expressions', this year's bottlings each represent a legend surrounding their distillery.

Legend has it that on a stormy night, the tidal current surged into Talisker Bay with unusual force, bringing forth a luminous creature from the depths of the sea that flooded the darkness with a captivating glow.

Talisker whiskies are known for their soft and smoky character. The Talisker distillery has long been a favourite among lovers of smoky malts. With this set, you will get to know three of their standard bottlings. The Skye was partly matured in freshly burnt oak casks, the Storm in different types of oak casks and the classic 10-year-old in bourbon and sherry casks. All three bottlings shine in a new design.
