The 1731 Fine & Rare Barbados Rum matured for at least 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak. The rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados is distilled partly in Column Still and partly in Pot Still. Uncoloured, without added sugar and not chill-filtered, it is then bottled. The company 1731 Fine & Rare comes from the Netherlands. The decisive factor for the name of the independent bottler is the year in which the British Royal Navy began to offer its sailors half a pint of rum as part of their wages. The product series of the Dutch are Regional Blends and Single Origin Rums. They include rums from Central and South America.

Geschmack: Süßlich und intensiv mit tropischen Fruchtnoten. Es folgen würzige Facetten von geröstetem Holz und etwas Kakao nach.
Abgang: Langanhaltend, süß und würzig mit einer wiederkehrenden Kombination aus Vanille, süßer Eiche und Gewürzen.
