Product description
This 24-year-old Single Malt is one of the oldest bottlings from the Knockdhu distillery. To avoid confusion with Knockando, the malts have been marketed under the name AnCnoc (pronounced a-nock) for several years. The name comes from the river of the same name, which provides the crystal clear water for the production of the Single Malt. The Highlander was bottled without chill-filtering and without the addition of colouring.

In 1893, John Morrison, bought the land on which Knockdhu was built from the Duke of Fife. Morrison was acting on behalf of the Distiller's Company Limited. Knockdhu was the first distillery that the company constructed themselves.

Kommentar: Mein erster richtig alter Whisky und gleich ein Volltreffer dank der Community (Bewertung) und Horst Lünings Tasting! Schon in der Nase sehr komplex mit vielen Aromen die ich garnicht alle einfangen und beschreiben kann. Der erste Schluck erinnert ein direkt an Orangensaft dann dunkel Früchte dazu die Würze der Eiche. Der Abgang ist lange mit einer fruchtigen Süsse und Würzigkeit. Der Mund ist ausgekleidet mit einem Film aus kandierten Früchten am ehesten wieder Orangen. Sehr toller Whisky den ich noch sehr häufig ,,testen,, muss bevor ich alle Aromen erfasst habe.
