Aroma Fresh, subtle citrus notes with pear and crisp, green apples followed by a delicate spiciness.
Taste Toffee with spices such as aniseed, ginger and sweet almonds - almost like marzipan. A fine peat smoke note is combined with a light, peppery spiciness.
Finish Fresh and clear.
Maturation First fill Bourbon, finish in sherry casks and Swedish oak barrels

Product description
Mackmyra Bruks was finished in two different casks: a 30 litre sherry cask and a 30 litre Swedish oak cask, which were stored 50 metres deep in the Bodas mine.
This whisky comes from the Swedish distillery Mackmyra. The idea of distilling a Swedish whisky was born during a skiing trip with eight friends in 1998, when everyone brought a bottle of whisky and the conversation centred around whisky. This gave rise to the Mackmyra Bruk distillery, which produces its whisky using only local ingredients and without colouring. The founders have also immortalised themselves in the bottle design: There is a dent - 'a fingerprint, so to speak' - at the bottom of the bottle for each of the eight friends.

Aroma: Sanft und Rauchig mit einem Hauch Butterscotch und Toffee. Dahinter Bananen, Birnen und etwas Minze sowie Lakritz.

Geschmack: Wunderbar frisch nach reifen Bananen und Birnen, sanfter und öliger Körper mit etwas Gewürzen und Pfeffer. Dahinter Mandeln, Rauch und würziger Toffee.

Abgang: Ein mittellanger Abgang mit würziger Eiche, Toffee und Nüssen.
