English Harbour Rum is produced on the Caribbean island of Antigua at the Antigua Distillery, which has been making rum in the traditional way since 1932. Distilled on individually created column stills made of copper and matured in former Tennessy Bourbon barrels in a tropical climate, the 5-year-old rum is 100% Antiguan.

Die Antigua Rum Distillery auf der gleichnamigen Karibikinsel wurde 1932 von einer Gruppe lokaler Geschäftsleute gegründet. Diese schlossen sich zusammen, um Melasse in großen Mengen einzukaufen und den Destillationsprozess zu kontrollieren. Die Brennerei bringt unter anderem den English Harbour Rum heraus.

Kommentar: Boah, wieder so ein Rum, der nach muffigen Holz schmeckt, irgendwie ein schimmeliges Holz. Da hilft auch das beste PLV nicht, wenn diese Rum ungenießbar ist.

Kommentar: würde ich mir nicht nochmal kaufen, jeder Schluck hängt quer im Mund, sehr unangenehme nicht definierbare Nebenaromen, schmeckt wie Fusel, Finger und vor allem Gaumen weg!

Geschmack: kräftiger alkoholischer Antritt, brauner Zucker, leichte (Sauer-)Kirsche, zimtähnlich, minimal bitter, erinnert mich ein wenig an Rye-Whisk(e)y
Abgang: Kokosnuss, Karamell, mittellang
Kommentar: Für diesen Preis eine Bombe, ein guter Rum mit kleinen Ecken und Kanten. Pur zu genießen und vermutlich hat dieser Rum auch Stärken in Mischgetränken.
