The 12-year-old Glenturret Single Malt was matured in a special combination of casks for the 2025 release. American oak casks, European oak casks and Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry-infused casks were used. After 12 years of maturation, the result is a whisky that masterfully combines toasted oak with citrus fruits and soft vanilla notes, which was even rewarded with a gold award at the IWSC 2025. The Glenturret distillery is the oldest working whisky distillery in Scotland and is characterised by its craftsmanship and commitment to traditional whisky making. Wooden washbacks, a historic malt mill and just two copper stills are used to produce the first-class Single Malts. The fine decanters were designed by Glenturret's new part-owner, the French luxury goods company Lalique.

Geschmack: Würzige Eichenholzaromen und Muskatnuss verbinden sich mit wärmenden Anklängen.
Abgang: Langanhaltend. -

Geschmack: Vollmundig und weich mit einer angenehmen Balance aus süßen und würzigen Noten. Reichhaltige Aromen von dunkler Schokolade, karamellisierten Nüssen, getrockneten Früchten und würziger Eiche.
Abgang: Lang und warm mit anhaltenden Noten von Eiche, Gewürzen, dunkler Schokolade.
Kommentar: Der Glenturret 12 Jahre ist ein eleganter und geschmeidiger Highland Single Malt. Mit seiner ausgewogenen Kombination aus süßen, fruchtigen und würzigen Noten sowie einem langen, warmen Abgang bietet er ein klassisches, traditionelles Whisky-Erlebnis.

Kommentar: Die dunkle Schokolade und die Beeren konnte ich nicht schmecken.
Kommt insgesamt etwas flach rüber, daher im Verhältnis zum Preis nur drei Points.
