With Kilbeggan Triple Cask, the former Single Grain was given a new image. In the new bottle design and with a new name, the focus is more on the triple cask maturation in American oak, sherry and bourbon casks. The content and Taste of the new edition of the whiskey remain unchanged. The Kilbeggan Distillery is located in the small town of Kilbeggan, in the heart of the Irish Republic. It was founded there in 1757 by Gustavus Lambert in a former monastery, directly on the banks of the River Brusna.

Kommentar: Wie erwartet ein ganz "zahmer" Vertreter. Man sollte ihn keinesfalls nach einem kräftigen Islay-Whisky trinken. Ich finde ihn ungeheuer sanft und weich - man könnte sagen: "süffig". Er hebt sich deutlich positiv von dem normalen "Straßen-Kilbeggan" ab, der ja auch im Angebot nur etwa die Hälfte kostet.

ent:Dieser Whiskey schmeckt und sehr gut. Leicht nach Vanille und Schokolade. Perfekt für ein Gläschen am Abend

Schmeckt zu unserem erstaunen doch relativ hochwertig und gut. Kann man für zwischendurch doch gut empfehlen

Kommentar: Der hieß früher "Single Grain" und ich habe ihn als wohlschmeckenden Whiskey in Erinnerung. Leider habe ich keinen Restbestand, so dass ich nicht direkt vergleichen kann. Aber der Neue gefallt mir auch. Super PLV außerdem.
