Product description
1770 Glasgow comes from the Scottish city of the same name. The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded in 2014 and is the first single malt distillery in Glasgow since 1902. Following the old tradition, single malt is now once again produced there from Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The Fresh and Fruity Edition of 1770 Glasgow was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and then finished in fresh white oak casks.

Aroma: Kräftige und dominante Eiche, dahinter eine Kräuternote mit grünem Apfel. Leichtes Ziehen in der Nase.
Geschmack: Starker Antritt, frische Eiche mit kräftiger Alkoholstärke. Anschließend ein reiner Maracujageschmack.
Abgang: Zunächst Maracuja, in eine Süße übergehend. Es bleiben leicht herbe Noten zurück.
Kommentar: Ein junger Whisky mit deutlichen Ecken und Kanten und kräftigen 46% vol. Einen solch deutlichen Maracujageschmack habe ich bei keinen Whisky bisher erlebt, das macht ihn besonders.Ich bin gespannt wie sich diese Brennerei in den nächsten Jahren entwickelt, aktuell fehlt mir dem Whisky noch die Reife.

Kommentar: ähnlich wie der Triple distilled ein eher scharfer Whisky. Die Birne ist erstaunlich dominant. Nicht schlecht, aber für den Preis gibt es bessere.
