Product description
The Edradour Caledonia shows particularly strong sherry notes. It had enough time in its 42-month finishing phase to draw intense flavours from the exclusive oloroso sherry casks. The Caledonia was named after the song of the same name by the well-known Scottish musician Dougie MacLean. Andrew Symington, the owner of Edradour, and Dougie MacLean designed this whisky together.

Comment: The nose is immediately enveloped in the aromatic Sherry bouquet: rich and strong notes of raisins, dates, figs, plums, and dried fruit. Hints of oak wood and vanilla. The alcohol supports the aromatic profile without interfering.
A nose that evolves as the minutes pass, so let's give it time and let the aromas present themselves in the foreground: oak wood, spices (cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg); at times I feel like I'm smelling a good, aged Tawny Port wine.
The mouth is powerful, rich and coating, and similar to the nose: the balance between sweet and bitter notes, between dark fruits, orange zest, leather, spices and pastry notes is excellent, showing complexity and continuous evolution, with a light tannic dryness at the end.
The finish is long, with oak, spices, and chocolate
