Aroma At the beginning sherry and peat smoke. Then lemon peel, black pepper, eucalyptus and cinnamon together with heather and mint.
Taste Dates, Oloroso sherry, orange chocolate and smoked malt. Topped with toasted walnuts and caramel.
Finish Well balanced.

Das ist die ursprüngliche Abfüllung des mittlerweile populären 10 Jahre Heavily Peated.
Ich liebe dieses Flaschendesign.

Farbe?
Ein helles gelb,
frische Fässer?

Die Nase ist schon mal verräterisch,
dieses von Bruichladdich bekannte, leicht säuerliche Aroma,
wie Babykotze.
Stört mich das?
Durchaus nicht!
Mit etwas Zeit verfliegt sowohl die starke Rauchnote,
anfänglich wie nasser Aschenbecher,
und auch das Saure.
Es bleibt ein harmonisches Gemisch von Eichenholz und Kaminfeuer…

Geschmacklich recht würzig,
weniger die Rauchbombe,
eher dezent,
aber das ist wohl sehr subjektiv.
Meine Frau spricht immer von geräuchertem Speck in alten Socken!

Vielschichtig,
der wechselt mit jedem Schluck sein Gesicht.
Wechselt von würzig auf fruchtig,
von säuerlich auf süßlich.
Gefällt mir sehr gut - nicht jeden Tag, aber immer wieder mal…
