Aroma Pronounced vanilla, butterscotch and caramel with gently integrated peat smoke and maritime coastal flavours.
Taste A wonderfully full mouthfeel with the characteristic vanilla notes from the bourbon casks and spices from the sherry casks, which together create a balance and real depth of flavour.
Finish Soft, round and full-bodied with hints of peat smoke.

Product description
The 16-year-old Kilchoman is not only a special bottling with an age statement, but also the oldest release to date that was not bottled for the famous Feis Ile Festival. The single malt was matured in Bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at 50% vol. without chill-filtering or colouring.

After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles. read more
