Product description
Kilchoman Loch Gorm is named after the famous dark, peaty loch next to the Islay distillery. The 2024 edition was matured in 23 Oloroso sherry butts from the Spanish bodega Jose y Miguel Martin, which were filled with Oloroso sherry for at least 9 years. Anthony Wills and Robin Bignal selected 17 fresh and six refill casks, which they then filled with distillates from three different vintages. Loch Gorm, after which this bottling is named, is Islay's largest freshwater loch. Wildlife and dark, peat-coloured waters surround the loch.

The Distillery: Kilchoman
After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles.
