Wolfburn 155 is a whisky that is released as a small batch and initially matured for just over four years in first-fill bourbon casks. The Single Malt was refined for a further six months in hogsheads, which were previously filled with port wine.

Wolfburn
Wolfburn is the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. It was originally built in 1821 but had to close again in the course of the 19th century and today only ruins of the old complex remain. In 2011, a new distillery was built not far from the ruins and in the meantime the production volume has returned to the same level as in the 19th century. The logo features a wolf, whose related mythical creature, the so-called 'sea wolf', is said to bring good luck to all those who set eyes on it. In the 16th century, when the drawing for the Wolfburn logo was made, there were plenty of wolves in the area. read more

Sehr ausgewogener Whisky.
4 Sterne aufwärts.
Eine Bewertung teilt mit er würde 4 Sterne vergeben. Gibt aber nur einen Stern. Verfälscht das Ergebnis nach unten.
Der Whisky ist 4 Sterne aufwärts.
Deshalb geb ich mal 5 Sterne

Aroma: In der Nase wie der Langskip mit Portweinnoten.

Geschmack: Weinnoten mit leichter Schärfe.Geschmacklich höher als die angegebenen 46% Vol.

Abgang: Mittellang bis lang.Portweinnoten mit Frucht.

Kommentar: Ein sehr angenehmer Whisky mit Port,Fruchtt und Eiche.
