Highland Park Ex-Bourbon Barrel Benchmark – Murray McDavid tells a story of patience and precision. This whisky from Murray McDavid’s Benchmark series is a prime example of the art of refining a characterful island whisky through classic cask maturation, without overshadowing its maritime origins. The story begins in 2008 at the legendary Highland Park Distillery, where the barley was traditionally dried over heather-rich peat. After distillation, the spirit matured for 17 years in ex-Bourbon casks before being selected by the experts at Murray McDavid for the exclusive Benchmark range. With a limited edition of just 564 bottles and bottled at natural cask strength of 54.1% ABV, the unadulterated power of the spirit is fully preserved.
