Auchentoshan Dark Oak was matured in French bourbon casks as well as in Oloroso and PX sherry casks.
In 2019, Auchentoshan appeared in a new design. The aim is to appeal to a young, urban audience. Each Auchentoshan malt is distilled three times.

Lieblich, aromatisch.
Eiche, leicht Vanille.
Etwas wässrig, schwach auf der Brust.
Den hätte man nicht verdünnen dürfen.

Kommentar: Vielversprechend in der Nase, einfache aber interessante Aromen im Geschmack. Im Abgang überwiegt hauptsächlich Süß. Gute Preis-leistung.
