Auchentoshan Sauvignon Blanc is triple distilled, as is customary for the Lowlands distillery. The result is a mild spirit that is initially matured in classic bourbon casks. The finish in Sauvignon Blanc wine casks gives the malt whisky fresh, fruity aromas that combine harmoniously with the soft spirit.

Kommentar: In der Nase viel Zitrus, Weißwein und etwas Apfel, am Gaumen ein starker Alkoholgeschmack (die 47% kommen sehr stark daher, ich hatte erst auf 7-8 % mehr getippt) der die Zitrus- und Weißweinnoten etwas übertönt. Ein kurzer Abgang folgt. Dieser Whisky trägt den Sauvignon Blanc voll in sich, perfekt passt er im Sommer leicht gekühlt mit einem (welche Frevel, aber leider ja!) Eiswürfel.
