The Aultmore distillery has been producing Speyside whisky since 1897. Water from a spring in the Foggie Moss region is used for the malt. After no original bottling was distributed in recent years, this 12-year-old Single Malt is now available.

Aroma: soft, grassy, herbaceous and subtle vegetal.Grass Green Apple Malt Zitrus Honey

Taste: restrained, quiet, but complex herbs and fruits, grassiness and heathery.

Finish: long, but not shouty, fruity and ending in a heathery tang.

Comment: a wonderful, naturally presented, subtle malt that has a lot to offer.

Aroma: frischen Noten von grünen Äpfeln und Heu, dazu eine zarte Honigsüße und ein Hauch von floralen Aromen

Geschmack: cremig und weich, mit Noten von Vanille, leichten Zitrusfrüchten und einer sanften Malzigkeit, feine Würze.

Abgang: mittellang, mit einer anhaltenden Süße und einem Hauch Eichenholz. Nicht übermäßig komplex, aber angenehm und harmonisch.


Kommentar: gut ausbalanciert, mit einer schönen Harmonie zwischen der Süße, der Fruchtigkeit und den Holznoten.
Er eignet sich hervorragend als Einstieg in die Welt der Speyside Malts und bietet eine schöne Komplexität, ohne zu überfordern.
