This 10-year-old Dictador rum is produced from the fermentation of pure sugar cane honey, which is distilled partly in copper pot stills and partly in a continuous steel column still. The South American rum is matured in special Quercus Homboldtii barrels, a Colombian white oak species. The Colombian producer of gin, cigars and coffee is best known for its rum. Dictador was founded in Cartagena on the northern coast of Colombia in 1913. Great importance is attached to careful production and well-guarded recipes, which are continued today by the third generation of the Parra family. The bottling comes in a gift box with an elegant cut glass.
