Scottish tradition meets Caribbean joie de vivre in this Glenfiddich. This Glenfiddich, post-matured in rum casks, shows a beautiful combination of whisky and rum. 21-year-old malts matured in oak casks are stored again for about four months in casks that previously held rum.

The Distillery: Glenfiddich
Glenfiddich is Scotland's best-known and most successful distillery. It is located in the heart of Speyside, in Dufftown to be precise. Also known as "The Giant", it has an impressive annual production capacity of 21 million litres. No other Single Malt is as popular worldwide. Glenfiddich Whiskies are usually matured in small Ex-Bourbon casks made from mild American white oak. This ensures that the fine, fruity flavour of the Malt Whisky is expressed particularly well.

Kommentar: Nicht Schlecht nicht Großartig. Etwas flach mit 40% und definitiv keine 180 euro wert. Wenn der 46% hätte wäre er ganz groß aber so wird sehr viel potenzial verschenkt

Aroma: sehr komplex mit fruchtigen Noten, etwas minzig, leicht ledrig und angenehm, mögl.weise von der Eiche
Geschmack: zu Beginn mild dann Lakritze, die in schwarzen Kaffee übergeht,
Abgang: mittellang weiter mit Eichenanklängen langsam auslaufend,
Kommentar: eine tolle Kreation, die 21 Jahre sind zu spüren, schön, dass dieser Glenfiddich keine starken Geschmacksspitzen aufweist, aber das kenne ich so von Glenfiddich, immer sanft in der Mitte. Der hohe Preis ist schade.
