Aroma Mild peat smoke with fruity hints of red berries, ripe peaches and sweet grapes. Vanilla, some oak spice, fine tannins and subtle floral notes are added.
Taste Creamy, sweet and fruity with facets of vanilla, red berry compote and juicy grapes. Warming oak spice, tannins and mild peat smoke accents follow.
Finish Long lasting and warming with creamy grape sweetness as well as fine spicy oak, followed by nuances of dark chocolate and dry ash notes.

Product description
The Grave Digger - Fields of Blood bottling was created in renewed collaboration with the distillery St. Kilian and the German metal band Grave Digger. The 54ppm Scottish peated malt gives this Single Malt its smoky side and the maturation in ex-red wine, ex-bourbon and ex-ruby port casks provides a creamy sweet, fruity vanilla component with notes of red berry compote and grapes. The artfully designed label features the band's familiar skull logo and the distillery's lettering.

Aroma: Zuerst kommt einen Moment lang gar kein Rauch, aber dann setzt er ein, so schön speckig fast wie bei Lagavulin, dann dringen die Portweinnoten durch, in Form einer schönen roten Frucht, einer sehr schön gereiften Erdbeere; beides, Rauch und Frucht, sind sehr harmonisch miteinander im Umgang; die St. Kilian-Birne bleibt aus.

Geschmack: Dann im Mund ist der Rauch anders, da kippt er von Lagavulin zu Laphroaig, d.h. medizinischer werdend; die Früchte sind dann auch nicht mehr rot, sondern heller, eher Zitrusfrüchte, leichte Malznoten, und dann nach und nach leicht bitter werdend.

Abgang: Wird von anfangs fruchtig, schlussendlich richtig trocken zum Abgang.

Kommentar: Facettenreiches Spiel; schöner Whisky.
