Type Single Malt Whisky
Aroma Mild peat smoke combines with a sweet melange of vanilla and roasted malt, refined with ripe banana, citrus aromas and juicy apricot fruit and complemented by subtly dry ash notes.
Taste Mild fruity sweetness of vanilla cream, fresh citrus notes, banana and grilled apricots meets warming campfire smoke and spicy oak notes, garnished with a little cayenne pepper.
Finish Long and warming with malty sweetness, ashy notes and a hint of allspice as well as fine spicy smoke with accents of grilled apricot.

Product description
The St. Kilian Signature Edition 'Eleven' bottling focuses on the unique Reflux Condenser in the Lyne Arm of the St. Kilian Pot Still. In this process, rising vapours are condensed before reaching the condenser, flow back into the still and are thus distilled again. Despite the use of peat smoke malt with 54ppm, only fine accents of light smoke are still present in the liquid due to the double distillation. The Single Malt was matured in ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels from Jack Daniel's.

Kommentar: Sehr interessanter und wohlschmeckender Whisky, abseits des Sherry-Mainstreams, kombiniert eine angenehme Rauchnote mit fruchtig-floralen Noten.

Aroma: Kräftiger, aber angenehmer Rauch, süß, malzig, Fruchtaromen, vor allem Birne

Geschmack: Der Antritt überrascht mit einem fruchtig-cremigenGeschmack, begleitet von einem kräftigen Raucharoma das nach Kaminholz und Lagerfeuer schmeckt. Dahinter finden sich noch weitere süße und florale Noten, wobei sich wieder die Birne hervorhebt

Abgang: im Abgang ist der Rauch nur noch wenig zu süren, es dominieren vor allem die Malz- und Fruchtaromen

Kommentar: Interessanter Whisky, mein Lob geht an St. Kilian, die viel experimentieren und immer wieder für positive Überraschungen sorgen. Auch die Edition Eleven ist sehr gelungen, harmonisch und doch ganz anders. Er ist es wert zu probieren, weil er sich vom ewigen Sherry-Mainstream abhebt
