This 17-year-old Balvenie 'Week of Peat' is the follow-up to the smoky series of 'Balvenie Stories'. After gaining knowledge on his Islay journey, distillery manager Ian Millar ordered a batch of peat from Speyside to experiment with the flavour profile of The Balvenie. The so-called 'Week of Peat', when The Balvenie distils peated malt, takes place a week before the distillery closes for maintenance. Usually at the end of summer or winter

The Scottish Malt Whisky distillery The Balvenie is located on the slopes of the Convals, below the Glenfiddich distillery. It was built in 1892 by William J. Grant, who is also the founder of the sister distillery Glenfiddich. read more

Geschmack: Samtig und ausgeglichen rund mit Torfrauch, Zitrusaromen, eichiger Vanille und Blütenhonig.

Abgang: Lang anhaltend mit mildem Rauch und cremig-süßer Vanille.

Kommentar: Sehr gute alternative zu Islay Whisky. Klassisch mit Rauch. Gut eingebunden. Leichte Süße, kurze Pfeffrige Note. Angenehmer Abgang Mittellang
