Product description
Amrut Fusion owes its name to the fact that both Indian and Scottish barley were used for this whisky. Indian mythology tells of gods and demons who mixed the ocean in prehistoric times with the help of the mountains. Suddenly a golden pot sprang from the water, containing the elixir of life. This they called Amrut. Modern Amrut has its roots immediately after the end of British colonial rule in 1948, when Indians began to distil their own whisky.

85/100, In der Zusammenstellung der Anteile Süße, Frucht, Gewürze, bei geringem Anteil Rauch, ein wirklich guter Whisky.
Aroma: etwas Rauch, leichte Frische durch ätherische Öle (Ingwer, Zwiebel)
Geschmack: Süße, Früchte, etwas Rauch
Abgang: Restfrucht, Restsüße; in Verdünnung etwas nach Holzkohle

Kommentar: Kräftiger Whisky mit guten Rauch- & Fruchtnoten, aber relativ kurzem Abgang. Wird insgesamt nicht mein Favorit, aber zum Ausprobieren eines rauchigen Amruts schon in Ordnung.

Kommentar: Ich mochte den Whisky zu Beginn nicht besonders, hab ihm dann aber ein paar Chancen gegeben und find ihn mittlerweile toll. Nicht so komplex, will er aber auch nicht sein. Malz, Rauch und Süße in Kombination. Dazu tolle 50%.
